Welcome
Our school:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Lily Lane Primary, a vibrant and inclusive school in the heart of North Manchester. Our children are happy, confident, and proud of their school, which plays a vital role in the local community.
Lily Lane Primary School was built in 1904 and today educates around 600 children, including a 52-place nursery. Our facilities include a music room, a parent community room, and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). We are proud to provide a high standard of education in a caring and secure environment, supported by a dedicated and hardworking staff team.
Lily Lane is proud to be part of the Changing Lives in Collaboration (CLIC) Multi-Academy Trust. Working closely with our sister schools, we share a commitment to improving life chances for children across Greater Manchester.
My career of over 30 years has been dedicated to supporting the development of children and young people, and I am proud to lead a team that shares this passion. At Lily Lane, we live by our motto: “Learning and succeeding together.” and the Trust values of: Responsibility, Respect, Resilience, Fairness, Empathy and Kindness. We work hard to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to succeed. With over 50 languages spoken in our school community, we embrace and celebrate diversity, ensuring that every child’s culture and identity are recognised and respected.
Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, balanced, and relevant, nurturing a love of learning and developing the whole child. We aim to inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.
Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, from sports and music to creative arts and community projects, helping children discover and develop their talents.
At our school, we are committed to ensuring every child has the best possible start in life. Our extensive Inclusion Team works closely with families and the wider community to provide tailored support in areas such as housing, SEND, safeguarding, and family wellbeing. We also offer practical help with form filling and accessing essential services. We regular family events create opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together. By working in partnership, we aim to build strong relationships that nurture both children and families.
